I was looking for a fun activity to do with Xander this weekend and realized we haven't played with play dough in a couple of weeks. For a change of pace, I got our a variety of objects we could press into the play dough so he could see the different patterns.
Here is what I grabbed. I know we have tons of other toys and objects that would make interesting patterns and textures, but he was impatient once he saw the bin of play dough.
Xander really liked the texture left by the bristle blocks. He also enjoyed sticking the horse into the dough. All in all, it was a fun, simple activity that we will definitely repeat. When he is a little older he could pick the objects himself, or even make predictions as to what the patterns will look like.
