A good friend of ours got Xander some Squigz for Christmas last year. While he has enjoyed playing with them, especially in the tub, I decided to see if I could extend their appeal (and increase their educational value) by making some building templates.
I decided to make two different types of cards. I made some stand-alone cards, where he would just try to recreate the shape.
I also made some multi-step cards with more complex shapes. The idea is that first he would recreate the design in step 1, then add on the additional pieces from step 2, etc. Each multi-step set of cards has the same color border, to make them easier to find.

Thank you so much for the free Squigz pattern cards. I have used this toy regularly since I bought it and am excited to have a new activity to introduce. I have linked this page on my blog, The Playful Otter (OTR).
